Hieroglyph

Hi everyone. KC here. After seeing the March banlist, i am so relieved that decks like TG Agent and Quasar are weakened, but the dreaded Laggia and Inzektors are still at large... Wait, i should be talking about

Hieroglyph!!

Hieroglyph is a new arch-type introduced in the new Galactic Overload pack, and yes, it is a very powerful OTK swarm deck. For players who are not well prepared, u will find your game ending very fast.

Hieroglyph's uniqueness derives from its effect when being tributed for either a summon or as cost. Most members(Non XYZ, save for Nut) can swarm another normal DRAGON-type(Konami loved dragons, after SD22 and it is still dragons... Because of the year of the dragon perhaps?) monster of any level from your hand, deck and even grave. This means that no matter where the normal monster(Best if not in your hand, its a pain unless it is a level 8 and you have a trade-in in hand) is, you can use it freely for XYZ summon(Usually XYZ summon because monster Special Summoned this way has its attack/defense become 0, which is another special feature of it)

There are even uploaded Youtube channel about the deck, which is free to watch. If you ask me why am i writing this despite all other sources out there, i would say because everyone has their style of playing depending on deck contents. I would focused on clearing the set cards and swarm the hell of the opponent! ( I love swarm decks very much, it is always satisfying)

And yes, "Card Car D" to get the extra draw. No many decks can OTK you like Hieroglyph do. So, this card is a great replenishment of hand cards in case the opponent screw your previous plans before.(This Card Car D combo is originated from a fellow Youtuber DuelingDays) Since the Hieroglyph combo usually starts with a Tefnut which rely on opponent having at least one monster, this draw 2 is also provides you a better chance of setting up. You can include "Reckless Greed" for the extra hand cards if you want to. Another good card would be "One day of Peace"(This idea is from a DN player Smokeball1223) The rest are basically standard.

Now for the mind game part, my personal favorite would be "Wingbeat of Giant Dragon". As unpredictable as Junk Doppel(where you don't know when or where to solemn them) this deck pretty much nails especially when your opponent has plenty of set cards without any starlight road. Thanks to the "Card Car D", you have more hand cards and can easily psycho your opponent until they are all frustrated. And for more frustration creating, you can play "Prohibition" on cards like "Starlight Road", "Effect Veiler", "Herald of Orange Light" ^ ^

    1. Hieroglyph Seal of Reflection ^ ^
Tribute 1 "Hieroglyph" monster you control; negate the activation of a Spell Card, Trap Card, or Effect Monster's effect, and destroy it.
