Counter Special Summon

Just finished my Final test for this semester, this indicates that is time for me to go back to YGO again...

As you have seen on the title, today I going to discuss about the countering on special summon (s.s.). The main reason for me to discuss this topic is due to one of my best friend from Melaka. He suggested "Summoning Curse" as our main topic today.



Yes, the picture above is the card i have just mentioned. This card effect is,
"When a monster is Special Summoned, the controller of that monster chooses 1 card in their hand and removes it from play. During each of your End Phases, pay 500 Life Points or destroy this card."

As a duelist, we all know that hand card advantage is important for todays duel, except you are playing Infernity deck or etc. Hence, this card will be a treat to all those s.s deck, which also need hand card advantage for the game.

This card will be a nice side deck against Agent angel, Junk doppel and Karakuri deck.
We all know that Junk doppel and Karakuri deck is heavy in s.s. Besides, this two deck is death without hand advantage. Thus, but siding this card, it will stop their whole combo from going on. They will think twice before proceed s.s in the game.

While against the Agent angel, this card does it job too. For Agent deck, the main play is to s.s all those annoying "ball" by Venus and then proceed s.s to the "super tanker" (Gachi gachi) and stall the game until they beat you with their boss monster or just beat you down with Venus.
Hence, by siding in this card. It will stall them for awhile, and this will be your chance to KO them.

However, this card is normal rare in DREV. So, try to get it if your local is selling cheap.

  1. It is a perfect card against those decks listed above... But do not find it very dependable... Let me give u cards like Hyperion/debris=blackrose combo and u will understand... These turn table cards appearing at the wrong time with summoning curse on field renders summoning curse a little useless... But most of the time(up to 85%, a figure for fun =X), go ahead and burn all their hand cards and make them cry!! Hahaha

  2. A little mistake for rectification: This card is not that great against karakuri because karakuri swarm using magic cards like instant noodle, desynchro etc which can be set.
