New Ban list, New Life ?

New Ban list , New life ?
(Nah.... I just don't think so...)

Left out of YGO for months, don't think i can catch up much...
Well Uni life does make people starting busy and forget about many things quite quickly...
Especially games that consume a lot of thinking and time...

Well looking to the new ban list make me feel like.... hmm... going have a new begin ? Nope... Just will continue updating(hope so) and play casually(if got time for it)...

Current meta still not stable around as Malaysia meta game still surrounded by "haze", well in reality Malaysia does have haze problem current.

However,
For me, I will pick Fiendish Chain as my staple if i going to play...
Because obviously it does a great job in current meta, it stop many decks play as well...
So why not left some place for this devil. Especially for those heavy back row deck.

This card does a lot of wonder itself, its good again Evilswarm Ophion, for me as it always do me a favor in stopping it. Well, actually its good against most of the deck in current meta (Genex Mermail, Dragon Ruler variant, Evilswarm, and etc.) just like i said before. However, try to use it wisely and it will gain you advantage while stalling your opponent.

That all for today, sorry for no posting and probably will continue like that for few months i think...
Well Uni life does busy...

Thanks for the reading in case you really read about it.

New Year... New Hope...

First of all Happy New Year to all of you (quite late, I thought)

The start of 2013, mean that our world still not yet end... (thanks to 2012 prediction)
Well, life goes on...

I'm having final for my Uni for these few weeks, mean no blogging for awhile...

Well, straight to the topic... Yes, New year mean New Hope. Why?
Easy, because the gold series 2013 is around the corner... (for OCG players)

GS05-JP001
GS05-JP002 Nimble Momonga
GS05-JP003 Tsukuyomi
GS05-JP004
GS05-JP005
GS05-JP006

GS05-JP012 Lavalval Chain
GS05-JP013 Mind Control
GS05-JP014 Mage Power
GS05-JP015
GS05-JP016
GS05-JP017 Forbidden Chalice
GS05-JP018 Macro Cosmos
GS05-JP019 Scrap-Iron Scarecrow
GS05-JP020 Solemn Warning

From viewing the latest list, this time Konami did make some good job for budget players.
As, quite a lot useful staples get reprinted. For example like, solemn warning, effect veiler, and some others...

So, what the hope about ? Well, we do hope maxx C get reprinted right ?
As the list still have some empty places left... mean "hope" still around... hahaha ^^

However, even maxx C get reprinted... It doesn't help much...
This is quite obvious as the rising of Verz and Constellar deck, which doesn't do much with swarming the field with lots of SS monsters. Thus, looks like Maxx C quite useless if dueling with them...

Does this mean that current META (Malaysia) is shifting to more balanced beat and grind formats ?

It is still a guess for now. Will start posting after my final, stay tuned.
Thanks for drop by.

Tourney

Hell ya, today is Dueling Nexus Year end tourney.
Well, after being left out for the game for almost half year. Finally, have chance to go back to the good old days~ Dueling with all the old friends there, really having a lots of fun today.

Lets get to the report.

The tourney is basically what I have mentioned in the last post,
Elimination for 1st round, then swiss for 4.

Deck used : Geargia Karakuri (same built as my last post)

1st round
Vs Wind-Up

Round 1: OTK him 2nd turn with 2 Burei + Bureido + Geargigant X + Karakuri watchdog
Round 2 : Stall for abt 4 turns, finish him up with the Geargia karakuri combo as 1st round.

Result : OO-

After the match i like phew~ finally can get to the swiss game. May be have some hope to squeeze in top 8, as the prize will be enough for me for top 8.

Yet, what happen after an hour.....

Our boss Dicky, speak out loudly no more swiss round straight elimination for the rest of the game...
Then, we all like WTF ~~~~~
(Well, this kind of situation happened, we need to thanks to the two mermail guys, which play for 1 hour for the 1st round, making our boss Dicky quite emo~ Hence, he just announce, we going to have elimination game onwards. All of us just like, whattttt ~~~~ tf )

Well, life goes on as our boss on fire...

2nd Round
Vs Wind-Up (again ==")

Round 1: He quite bad hands, so just do the burei + bureido rush and ended it up quite fast
Round 2: My turn bad hand, with all green ==" I like, I'm not a vege la~
Round 3: Manage to stall for few turns, but after he topping storm, cleared out my back rows, then he just do the magician+shark combo and rush for the game.

Result : OXX

Well, shake my hands with opponents, took my pack and just hang around to watch others match for the rest of the day.

For top 8:
There are left
4 Verz rabbit
2 Wind-Up
1 Masked Hero
1 Rabbit Lagia

For top 4 :
Andrew (Verz rabbit)
Melvin (Verz rabbit)
Heng Johnson (Masked Hero)
Sharmir (Wind-Up)

While the final ended up with
Heng Johson (Masked Hero) Vs Melvin (Verz rabbit)

And the game ended up with the destiny draw of Heng Johson,
Exceed out the MVP card of him, HC excalibur to hit for the game.
He really make Heroes head held high as he has been topping quite lots of the tourney with his heroes. His luck just unlimited, always let him top draw like god~
Beating all the Verz deck to the final like just LOL~

Below are some Pic of the day.

Top 4
Melvin (Verz rabbit) Vs Sharmir (Wind-Up)
Before the game start.
About 38+ players from all around Malaysia

Top 4
Heng Johson (Hero) Vs Andrew (Verz rabbit)

Final
Melvin (Verz rabbit) Vs Heng Johnson (Hero)

Well that all for today, thanks for viewing.

I'm back~ ( I think so )

Finally, i have some time left for my long forgotten game - YGO

Yes, I'm gonna take part in tomorrow competition which will held at Dueling Nexus, where I have not going for months and finally I have time to look back all those memories I have at there again.

Although for now is my study week, but who care it. I'm need some time for my own relaxation now.
Well, YGO will be my choice for the relaxation.

Being out for months, thus, a lot of hard works need to be done for tomorrow competition. As the tourney is elimination format, which mean do or die mission (well i always die to elimination tourney, hope tomorrow will be my day, i guess).

For what I have heard recently, YGO is quite balance for now, every decks have their potential to be top ( if not mistaken).

Well, enough for the bla bla bla....

I'm gonna take my new build to the new era tomorrow
( unfortunately is the last game for the year LOL~ )

For you all know, I'm a die hard machine fans. So, Geargia Karakuri will bee my choice.
Below will be my builds for tomorrow, i guess.

Its just a simple build, I think its simply same to all Geargia Karakuri.
Have deck test for few round just now. Find out it quite have the potential to move to top, as the deck quite autopilot itself. Just some simple move, you will gain a lot of advantage when the flow run.

For example,
With Karakuri Strategist mdl 248 "Nishipachi and Geargiarmor at your hand.

1. Set Geargiarmor.
2. If nothing happen to it, flip it in turn 2. Search for Geargiaccelerator.
3. Set Geargiarmor back, normal summon Karakuri Strategist , flip Geargiarmor  with Strategist effect. Search for another Geargiaccelerator.
4. SS 2 copy of Geargiaccelerator from your hand.
5. Synchro summon Karakuri Shogun mdl 00 "Burei with strategist + geargiarmor
6. SS Karakuri Watchdog with Burei effect.
7. Synchro Watchdog + geargiaccelator for Karakuri Steel Shogun mdl 00X "Bureido.
8. Get back armor from accelator eff.
9. SS 2nd Strategist from deck with Bureido eff.
10. Draw 1 card from Bureido eff with changing strategist position with it eff.
11. SS 2nd Burei with accelelator + strategist.
12. SS any karakuri monster u like and hit for the game.

Well, doesn't it look fantastic. Its just one of the combo i have try out.
Still lots can be done. As long as your armor get lively.

Still deck test for now, hope will get the most balance build.
Lets see what can I do tomorrow.
Do hope that can squeeze into top 8.

So, stay tune for the next post. Probably will be posting about the tourney.
Thanks for reading.

Machine madness ~

Hell ya~ I'm back...
And yes, I'm going to talk about machines today. Due to the release of Geargiganto X in REDU, Gadget based deck or the new Geargia Arch type has found them self a place as a Tier 1 deck.

OTK move is getting more consistent and faster than before. You all can refer to others blog for the OTK move, as most of them has already posted it. Hence, there is no point for me to bluff here again.
 GeargigantoX-REDU-JP-SR.jpg
The below list will be my build.

Monsters (17)
3x Green Gadget
3x Red Gadget
3x Yellow Gadget
3x Machina Gearframe
3x Machina Fortress
2x Scrap Recycler

Spells (8)
1x Monster Reborn
1x Heavy Storm
1x Book of Moon
2x Offerings to the Doomed
3x Night Shot

Traps (15)
1x Solemn Judgment
3x Compulsory Evacuation Device
2x Torrential Tribute
2x Raigeki Break
3x Reckless Greed
2x Solemn Warning
2x Ultimate Offering

Extra Decks
2x Geargiganto X
2x No.39 Hope
2x Maestroke the Symphony Djinn
And etc.

The list is quite the same to the others. However, I'm tried to maximized my hand advantage with the help of Reckless Greed. It is a good card to be used, it can be chained while getting MSTed. Beside, if you activate all 3 copy of it, the side effect of getting not to draw for 2 turn doesn't stack. Thus, you have drawn 6 cards by only skipping 2 draw phase!!!

Besides, if you have noticed, I'm also using cards like Offerings to the Doomed. I'm found out that  this card does well along with Reckless Greed. It give me a free monster destruction without paying any cost when stacking it with Reckless Greed.

Still trying to make the deck more consistent and competent. From the list, I can say that my deck will probably die to Trap Stun or Royal Decree as it is heavy trap based deck.

That's all for today, feel free to comment and thanks for reading.

All hail the Magicals!!

Hi everyone, KC again.
Still desperately looking creative play until 801 showed up. There are so many new archtypes even though not as imba as the Inzektors, at least there is a word "FUN" in it instead of dull. Today i will talk about the magical series. The Magical series is a new archtype which utilizes the Book of Spell cards. This deck actually search cards and shrinks down your deck so fast, you are able to draw any other supporting cards faster.

This deck will be centered around their ace monster Magical Erudite Junon. Its first effect allows you to special summon it from your hand by revealing 3 Books of Spell card. Very neat effect especially when you dead draw a bunch of Books, it is like Agent Angel deck drawing Master Hyperion. However it is best that you do not try to rely on this effect as some of the Books of Spell are better played than kept in hand. Now for its next deadly effect, by removing a "Books of Spell" card in your grave, you get to destroy 1 card on the field, wicked effect despite the once per turn set back. This cards stats is also quite high 2500atk/2100def like the legendary Dark Magician. A must 3 in a magical deck.

Magical Calligrapher Batel a.k.a my current profile pic in facebook(1st May 2012) is also another wonderful card and a must 3 in deck. Its effect enables the player to search for a Books of Spell magic card from the deck when this card is normal summoned or flipped face up. A simple +1 and often used together with Wonder Wand to get another 2 cards just like that. Great combo. Another fact about this card is: the kanji of the card actually contains the name: Books of Spell, making it searchable with Grim Books of Spell, making this combo even easier to perform.

Magical Summoner Tempel is the summoner of Junon. During the turn you activate a Book of Spell, you can tribute this card to summon a level 5 or higherDark type of Light type Spellcaster from your deck, usually Junon since it is the best out there. Combine with Necro books of spell, you spam Junon almost every turn from your deck further shrinking your deck. the only problem is drawing tempel which can be overcome if you play a few Giant Rats in your deck. A minimum 2 in your deck i would suggest.

Magical Warrior Fors is the level changer in the deck. It helps you to recycle one books of spell from the grave to your deck and increase the level of a spellcaster monster on the field by 1. Amazing effect if you play Instant fusion in our deck awarding you a Rank 5 XYZ monster like Tiras and No61. It can also serve as a beat stick when used with Hygro Books of Spell, giving it an attack of 3000 point. Eat that Archlord Kristya! It may not synergy with Junon unless you do some proper planning and depending on the stradegy you want to play.

These are the 4 Books of Spell cards. Personally all of them are useful.
a) Grim Book of Spell - Allows you to search for any "book of spell" named card from your deck. A must 3 since it can even search out Batel. Easily triggers the effect of Tempel and a deck shrinker. It also helps to maintain the number of books of spell in hand, critical for a dead draw Junon.
b) Hygro Book of Spell - Adds 1000 attack to one of your spellcaster. 1000 attack is no joke my friend. When the powered up spellcaster destroy an opponent monster by battle, it searches for another book. Great card but it would have been more if it was a quick play magic card. Sob~
c) Necro Book of Spell - A more limited version spellcaster exclusive Premature Burial with added level modifying ability. Combo with Brionac and special summon another spellcaster from your grave next turn. Plan your grave cards and hand cards wisely before using it.
d) Torah Book  of Spell - Negate the effects of either magic or trap card used against your Spellcaster. Best used on a Safe Zone-d Junon if you want to deliver a direct attack.

This is magical deck i am using, it is definitely not META. I played Giant Rat because it can help me to special summon Tempel faster when i have Books of Spell cards in my hand or Injection Fairy Lily when i decided to stall my opponent out. Safe Zone is placed into the deck to prevent OTKs, shielding my own monster from harmful attacks and destroy opponent monsters should it became a target of mystical space typhoon. This deck is heavily concentrated on deck shrinking and will be able to stall long when needed. I hope to build a stable XYZ focus deck by including Instant fusion after a few more experiments, so stay tuned~ Enjoy and thank you for reading

Heroic lords- Major damage bringer!!

Kc here and i am back. Didn't have any new and fresh ideas lately until the new pack from 801.
Before i start sharing my decklist, i would like to talk about the new heroic series.(Personally i love the Warrior-type so much, the damages the bring are always overwhelming ^ ^)

The Heroic series is a new arch-type introduced in the new pack Return of the Duelist(REDU/801) This archtype is used by a character in Yugioh Zexal, Gauche(I seriously like his old clothes better). Gauche is a high spirited person who gets excited easily in duels. When cornered, he will often strike back with supreme force as seen when opposing the almighthy "Super Dimensional Robo Galaxy Destroyer", also when surprised by the sudden appearance of Utopia, he quickly summon his "Photon Streak Bounzer". A very fierce duelist indeed. With the release of 801, reality is given a chance to share his brutal assault stradegy and i enjoy a lot playing this new deck.
Currently there are only 7 Heroic cards introduced.
1) "Heroic Challenger Spartas" - Its attack is a merely 1600, becoming an easy food when wondering alone to "Jurrac Guaiba" allowing the surfacing of "Evolzar Laggia", not really useful. Its effect at the mean time is not practical since it requires a partner and the Heroic have yet to own their very own "Marauding Captain".
2) "Heroic Challenger Sword Shield" - Decent defense, allowing shield towards large level 4 monster and a possibility of inflicting recoil. Its effect involves shielding Heroic monsters on the field, perhaps it would be better if it can pump attack instead of just shielding from destruction. Not very useful.
3) "Heroic Challenger Warhammer" - Cool name, but sadly it is a level 6 monster, which requires a tribute or dump-into-grave-revive stradegy to have it in play. Its effect is a not to toy with one since it gets stronger for every victory it score in battle. "Safe zone" should be able to make you nearly indestructible and fearsome on the field
4) "Heroic Challenger Double Lance" - The key towards an at least 4000 attack monster. Its effect is direct and easily abused with "The Warrior Returning Alive" A must have 3 in your deck if you want to build a Heroic deck.
5) "Heroic Champion Excalibur" - The ace and center of the series, a major damage bringer. Luckily its summon condition is limited to 2 level 4 warriors only, otherwise this card might soon follow the path of Trishula.
6) "Heroic Chance" - The magic card that makes Excalibur more imba, awarding 8000 attack points with a cost of forfeiting a direct attack. Just hit a attack position monster on the field and make sure you don't get any "Magic Cylinders".
7) "Heroic Revenge Sword" - Not really useful as it does nothing than damaging the opponent. I would rather use Magic Cylinders than this = =

Now on to my Heroic Lord deck. I have tested it against a few metas and the results are either you OTK your opponent or your opponent OTKs you. That is what the current metas are, Inzektor, Hieratics. Your victory is gravely decided by your mill. Mill a lot of monsters to your grave and boom, your opponent don't stand a chance. Plus this deck is a major headache to your opponent cause they will never know whether you are going to pop a "Judgement Dragon", "Lightray Diabolos" or "Heroic Champion Exacalibur". In this deck, you can always decide how to end the game, more freedom and exciting ^ ^

"So, how would you want this game to be ended?"

*Tips on this deck, when you draw "Solar Recharge", use it immediately cause every mill counts. Exhaust opponent set cards with "Lyla" and "Ryko" until safe landing is assured. Pop out the powerhouse and say GG to your opponent. Miss any of the steps and face your own self destruction.
Good luck, thank you for reading and enjoy!! ^ ^
